Ok i picked up a few nice pieces of oak burl in work, was told to bring them on or they'd be burnt. Thing is some of the voids and cracks (which are pretty small) go straight through the pieces. How would i work with these? Should i just turn them and sand and fill the voids with dust and ca or should i get them filled with a resin of some kind???

I turned a burl stopper once with a small void. I filled it with thin CA and instant coffee.
