My toothbrush for that is teal. Not sure if it works better than the lime green or not.

Old toothbrushes are also useful for cleaning off drill bits and any other small items. Handy to have around.

I use a toothbrush or a chip brush from Harbor Freight, https://www.harborfreight.com/4-in-chip-brush-58676.html?_br_psugg_q=chip+brush.
I keep at least two in the shop: lathe and drill press to sweep off ribbons and wood chips when drilling blanks. There are other sizes but sold in multi-packs for shop users.

If you use dust collection, be sure to check the intake screen. Mine has one and it gets clogged with the ribbons. I have to remove the fitting and clean the screen. I keep a waste basket right under the intake just for this purpose.

I use a 1-1/2 inch paintbrush. I glued a magnet to the handle so it sticks to the side of my lathe for easy access. I also attached a paintbrush to the top of my dust collector hood and I use it to brush my carbide tool against whenever it accumulates chips, dust, or ribbons. - Dave

I use toothbrushes for all sorts of things. If you're as cheap as me, you can even clean clogged sandpaper to make it last longer.
