It is a Jeep CJ7 1984 with a newly installed Chevy fuel injection system. Cranks up right away without having to give it any gas.

As you can see it needs work! I was up until 12:30 last night cleaning it with a friend. I'm getting a full soft top, should come today along with a new seat to match the drivers seat. There are so many things to do on it. The only time I've had in the shop this week was while I was looking for jack stands.
My pen kit money is going fast! And I have not even filled the tank up yet!

My Jeep is a 1990.. But I got the seats out of a 1994.. Laredo..[:D]

Here is our Jeep. We found it used, it's a 2005, added wheels and had the rack made in Mexicali for very little money. Saving to buy a hard top. The basket is for chunks of wood[:D] Too bad we couldn't all get together and go hunting...........for wood that is[}:)][:D]

Trav,
That's a nice jeep.. my son the truck driver is looking for one like that so he can get off-road in the mountains here in TN... he's a freelance photographer in his off time and right now uses my Ranger when he goes out, but then I have to use the wife's car to get to work... When I lived in Texas I had a blue '71 Chevy truck that would oxidize like crazy over the summer.. I used a product called Colorback to take out most of the oxidation and shine it up... 'course my '71 never shined all that well... it was already about 16 years old when I got it and probably had never been polished in those 16 years. It ran good though.

Very cool, Travis! My dad is into Jeeps, though older ones. He has an old military Jeep from around 53 (I think) that he's fixing up, and 3 Jeepster Commandos (68, 69, 70). The 70 is drivable right now, the others not so much. He also has a 53 Henry J. Interesting thing - the Commandos and the Henry J were all build by Kaiser and there's a really strong resemblance between the dashes. Not just the gauge cluster, but the whole thing. The Henry J also uses the same 4 cylinder engine as many of the Jeeps did (esp. the military ones). So it's kind of "all in the family."

Myself, this http://www.bruntonauto.com/index.htm has been keeping me in the shop, but away from the lathe. Being a wimp, I'm just building the 3.4L version, not the "super". [;)] It just reached the "roller" stage, and I hope to have it on the road in early July. VA just change the laws (for the better) for replicas and that kicks in July 1 and I want to be ready to register it ASAP! [:D] I've made a ton of pics along the way, but haven't gotten around to posting them up anywhere. [xx(]
