I am adding vacuum to my pressure pot. I didn't order the vacuum pump yet, but Curtis (MesquiteMan) likes the Robinaire 15310. Since I don't know much about vacuum pumps, what kind of hose and fittings are used? Are they the same as pressure fittings?

Thanks for any assistance..... Randy

I just put standard barb fittings on mine and use the heavy wall clear vinyl tube.

Works fine (not sure the Robinaire model of my pump since it's put away in the shed now, but I imagine they're pretty much all the same).

Yup...mine's a HF 3.5, but it works great!

Regular old clear vinyl 1/4" tubing works great for vacuum lines. If you plan to be stabilizing, I would suggest using clear so you can see if you happen to suck any resin up into the hose!

Your pump is going to have both a 3/8" and 1/4" 45° SAE male flare fitting to connect to. A female of this persuasion is hard to find so if you need help, let me know.

That's what I thought Curtis. You can't see what's going on if you put your pressure pot under vacuum. I wouldn't try stabilizing that way.
Tim.
