There are 132 "Taste of Texas Sampler Mini Pack" of 5 blanks shown. These are for the Cody Colley Fundraiser and if your name is not on a few of these packs, please take a look at this thread (Fundraiser for Cody) for more info on how to get them free!

We got 108 sets packed up that have been ordered and I still have 24 sets available. Then I think I will have to cut it off since I do not have time to get more together!

Also, I would like to thank my good IAP friend, El d for taking time out of his busy Saturday and today to help me get it all together. He was in charge of sorting all of the 900 or so blanks we started with to weed out the less than desirable ones. He also helped label them with their ID number so you will know the species and helped pack the actual orders so I can get them shipped. HE WAS A TREMENDOUS HELP on this. THANK YOU VERY MUCH LUPE!!!

I agree with Mike, it's a wonderful gesture and you are to be commended for it.
 
BTW, if anyone has a problem with this being in the casual conversation, please send me a PM and I will move it. I certainly do not want to be viewed as abusing my moderator privileges by posting it here. I am not selling anything so I thought I would be ok here.
 
Dude, that is so cool... As for being in casual conversation, I think anything where you are giving them away should be fine, especially given the cause!! I hope they have a TON of customers lined up for this. I can't wait for the blanks so that I can make up my pens.

Yeah, I agree. If other people are allowed to post with no thought of the rules, surely you can post this which doesn't seem to break any rules. It's not like you are doing a market research pole or posting pics of pens just to stimulate website traffic.
 
Curtis, I have a trunk full of walnut scraps that I would be more that happy to share for the cause. Let me know if you have a need and I will get them cut into blank size and deliver them to you.
 
I just tried to get one sampler, told me it exceed the amount in stock. Did I do something wrong, or are they really gone already. If so I will make a pen and send it anyway.

OOOPPPSSS I didn't read Don's post. Oh well I'll try to get a pen or two done and sent in.

Curtis like I told you in a PM You are a great guy, and doing this is such a great thing, Lupe is a pretty good hand as well, Andrew and I will get a few pens out for Cody, You guys are great, this is what I like about the IAP Family, not the forum the FAMILY, we can pull off some of the greatest things around, we've done it before, and it looks like we are going to do it again. And if any one doesn't like where you put this I can recommend a place they can put something !!!

Well I don't really need any blanks, but I'll send some pens to Dan for Cody. I'll use the $2.00 shipping I'll save to help pay the shipping on what I send.

Don thanks for the offer, but I have plenty of blanks, so it is not necessary. You know us guys always trying to get pen blanks. I kinda measure my wealth by how many pen blanks I can get. If I did it by how much money I have I'd be in poverty.

For those of you who think that I am picking on Curtis; Well, I am! BUT you also should know that Curtis is one of very few that I am proud to call a great friend. He knows that I'm kidding with him.
 
Bravo to the both of you. Your generosity of time and wood blanks is to be commended. Thank you very much for doing all of this work for this event. It makes me proud to be a part of this community.
