I think I started something. First off, I know that I was not the first person to use delrin to make barrel trimming sleeves, but I think I might have been the first to offer sleeves custom sized to different kits. Well, I was playing around on the AZS site today and found out they are offering them too. How about that.

I think you will find with a bit of research that AzSil has offered some of the delrin barrel trimmer sleeves dating back to around July 2006.

In the original post I mentioned that I know I was not the first to offer Delrin for this purpose. But has AZS been selling custom sized sleeves for 3 years? Because this is the first I have seen.

I got this information first hand tonight. I was curious and asked!
I personally remember seeing them for around a couple years now on AZSIL, they are somewhat hidden on a large site.
I'm new here, but not new to the pen world.

That makes no sense Jeff, but it is funny

BTW why would a 1/2 German want people to wear Kilts?:tongue:

Hans. I purchased a sleeve from AS some time back. He has had them for a good while. But, I am now patiently waiting for yours to arrive.

uh...up here where I'm from..Wunch might mean something different than down there! Germans are funny people..we have lots of them in the family, many of them full blooded Germans. I"m not sure why they'd want to see everyone in kilts, but I'm sure there's a good punch line in there somewhere. I know the Germans in our family like to drink and make fun of people. My wife's grandfather, he loves soccer. He curses as he watches as a foreigner might be on a team and make a mistake..he calls any foreigner an import. He hasn't figured out the he is an import!

Wunch is an Americanization of the German word Wunsch which means "to wish". As far as a punch line goes, that I carry with me everywhere I go.
Hans means Powerful
Eric means Kingly
Wunch means to wish so....

I wish I was powerful and kingly

SO there ya go :good:

Hans, I supose you could put on a kilt and serve Jeff some dumplins! Maybe he's not wearing his mask during PR runs! To continue with the theme of the thread..........haven't used any of your bushings..........not that I don't like you........just haven't got around to ordering any! Appears I am the minority, tho!!

I'm waiting for Hans to start a new sleeve business. Threaded sleaves for jr gent/churchill fountain nibs. You drill the pen, turn it, install the threaded sleave and screw in the nib. Get to work King Hans!
