1st try at casting in a pressure pot.
Using alumilite, mixed by weight, into the pot with 40 pounds of pressure.

Moisture? I've read that Alumilite doesn't care for moisture and the result is foaming.
 
Don't feel bad, none of my castings turned out very well either and I don't yet have a pressure pot. I casted some with buttons and some with beads and I used the stiff I usually use and still no lick. Yes I think there is moisture in hat. If you put pine ones in it ,they may not have been dry yet. Hope the next batch turns out. Fay
 
Whatever you cast, always stick it in the oven at low temps prior to casting. Even dry objects with accumulate moisture in the air. Warming them up will burn off the moisture and allow the resin to adhere and cure properly. Not to mention the refreshing pine odor in the shop when warming pinecones. :)
