We had a bad storm blow through here last night, high winds, and rain. I kept watching the trees beside my garage hoping if any fell they fell away from it. Electricity was off for 5 1/2hrs. The only damage I see this morning is a bradford pear tree in my neighbors yard, top blew out. I guess I'll have to help him cut it down and get rid of the wood. [}:)]:D

One of these days I will smarten up and take a day off after a storm runs through and gas up the chainsaw and roam around some of the neighborhoods.

That storm came through northeast Arkansas early in the evening and produced several tornados. Part of an industrial building was destroyed, some cars, trucks and a bus were overturned, but luckily there were no reports of injuries, this time anyway.

Back in 98 when we were living in a mobile home, a small tornado passed about 600 ft south of us and dumped parts of somebodys house on our carport. We decided it was time to build a house with a basement, for storms. Very few homes in our area have basements because of potential flooding.
