Man o Man. My wife and daughter and I went to Lexington, KY today and we decided to stop by the fairly new Woodcraft store. I have been in several of these stores and this is by far, the nicest one I have had the pleasure to visit. They have several demos every Saturday, and they have a wood room to beat all wood rooms. If you are ever in the area of Lexington, KY., you owe it to yourself to stop by and tell Mark (the owner) hello. You will not regret it.

I stopped by that store middle of last year and was also impressed. Friendly staff and great layout. They didn't quite have their wood room completed yet but one of the best I have seen. I also have a store near me in Virginia Beach. You can't beat the staff for friendliness or knowledge. I don't think they have quite the space available as the Lexington store.

We where at the Indy store at Christmas time and they where talking about how nice the Lexington Woodcraft was.
I still ain't been there but it's on the list of things to do.

The Lexington store is the same person with the Cincinnati store. Cincinnati is a pretty nice one too, and bigger than several I've seen, but they do say Lexington is top notch. wish I could check it out. I'm always pretty happy with the Dayton store which is where I often end up during one of my delivery routes. They have a great wood selection in there too.
Oh..on the other side of things...Dayton Ohio. I have peeked through that window many times, but they are never open when I deliver next door. That store has the best display of local talent I have ever seen. It would blow your mind, especially for turnings. There is a display of bowls that are not made by Malcolm Tibits, but they are replica's of his work and the quality that I see from outside is unbelievable! I'm talking the segmented vessels with open window turnings on the sides to reveal bonus pictures!

I only wish we had something like that around here or maybe I don't. Would have to hide the credit card. The wood show is coming to my area end of this month so I am saving up for that one. Craft Supply USA will be there again and I can not leave that booth empty handed. Maybe I will make another pen there as I did last year.
