With the gold medal mens hockey game it is no wonder why Canada and the US are the teams to beat at all the international events. It was one of the best hockey games I have ever seen.

Sorry to our southern neighbors but the right team got gold  it was a hell of a game by all the players involved and it was nearly won by the US a few times. Without the great rivalry we share it would never be the same.

Final count for medals: Canada has the most gold with 14 and the US has the highest total overall. Well done to allthe athletes who took part and gave it thier all.

Not a BIG hockey fan I must admit, but that game was non-stop action!
It can't compare to the one in Lake Placid 30 years ago, though. .... The right team won that time!

Congratulations to Canada for a great game and a wonderful hosting of the olympics. I am very happy for Steve Yzerman and Mike Babcock. The USA fought hard and should feel no shame. Who should be ashamed is the networks for only showing Cindy Crosby after the win...he was not the only guy on the Canadian team.

Blame the US networks for that, Glenn - the Canadian ones showed the whole team often! Until that last goal, Crosby was getting the gears for not producing in the tournament....

Still, it was a good game. I wish we had won in the third period, and then the right players would have gotten credit for the win! :)

But Sydney Crosby (his name isn't Cindy) scored when it counted, so one has to give him credit for that! Good game - but I still prefer the World Junior hockey championship in December...

A great game of hockey indeed! A tip of the hat to the boys and girls up north for both of their gold medals. I believe the better teams won on both counts. They both rose up and go the job done when needed. And how cool to hear that national anthem beign sung by over 16,000 fans. Congrats again!

(A quick note maxwell, I believe if you look at where Mr. McCullough is from and I'm a Wings fan as well, the comment of Cindy Crosby was intentional not a mistake)
