Ok, with Dallas FINALLY with a shot to win a playoff game, I have realized a weird thing.

The "DBB" or "Defensive Booty Bump". This is an action that takes place following key defensive plays (sacks, 3rd down stops, etc.) where two very large defensive players go airborn and slam into each other in the air.

I have realized that there seems to be a pattern. If your team gets lots of DBB's then they are gonna win. If they dont get many DBB's they will lose. I gotta watch more football to find the "magic number", but i really think there is a number that is the "flip" point.

PROOF that Defense wins championships!

we called it booty bump when i was a kid. It was a cntest. To knock the other guy out of the sky.

Somebody has too much time on their hands if they're counting booty bumps. ha ha I guess you being a Dallas fan you can't help it. lol The cowboys played good even if they knocked out my eagles. Maybe the Vikings can give them more of a challange.

I wish players would act like they are suppose to what they did, sack, tackle, touchdown... etc. Rather than acting like the never did it before.

I have to agree with Grizz. I could do with a lot less showmanship. I find the classier players just do what they do and toss the ball back to the ref... just my .02

I disagree.

I think the celebrations are a key part of the game. Most football fans get pretty animated when their team does good. So you expect the players, full of emotion, not to react?

I do think it can be excessive (signing autographs with a sharpie that was in your sock, etc. etc.) But a "First down" gesture, or defensive back bump is the bee's knees!

If you sack the quarterback, good for you. Now get back to your side of the field and get ready for the next play.

If you sack the quarterback, force a fumble, which is recovered by your team and returned for a game winning touchdown in overtime of a playoff game, then dance, celebrate, do the hokey pokey, etc. THAT is the time for celebrations.

My issue is when your down 3 touchdowns or more and you start acting out because you got a sack or a tackle for loss. BRAVO maybe you could have done that before you were down 3 touchdowns.

Here again, I disagree.

Sacks are few and far between in reality. Defensive players RARELY make any highlight films, and are usually underappreciated. If yor team is down by three scores, and you make a huge play that just might be the motivator for a comeback, CLEBRATE. I mean really what are we talking about here. If you watch most Defensive players when they celebrate, it is a King Kong scream with maybe some stomping and flexing. Or a booty bump, or back bump whatever you call it.

I do think there is a such thing as excessive celebrating... running back to midfield to spike the ball on the Dallas Star after a T.D., or posing for pictures with fans, or signing autographs, or the elaborate skits that take half the team to perform. Things like this shuold totally be outlawed, but doing a King Kong after planting the Q.B. is totally awesome in my book! I like to see my favorite teams Defense celebrate! That usually means there is someone crying on the other side of the ball!
