Riley (my son's black lab) had his best weekend of moose shed hunting this season (good thing too as the season is nearing the end for this year). He found six this weekend. I just weighed them in at a total of just over 21 pounds. Two were just spikes, but the biggest one was 11-1/2 pounds. That brings his season to twelve sheds totalling 37-1/2 pounds. We may get a chance to go 2 or 3 more days in the next week or two if the weather does not get too warm. Adding in my eight finds, we've gathered 20 moose sheds between us this spring.
