I am currently using Macromedia Contribute to maintain/edit my web site. I'm looking to replace this with another easy to use piece of software without losing any current pages or causing downtime.

Anyone out there use something that fits the bill? I'd prefer something free and reliable like Contribute, but would pay a small price if it required it.

Thanks in advance.

I have been using Hot Dog Pro by Sausage software for many years, even back when I had a real job.

It's not free but I have never seen one of the free packages give you the power, flexability and TOTAL control that Hot dog does.

They used to have a free trial period, probably still do. All it would hurt to try is downloading the software then deleting if you don't like it.

If you write Java or any scripting language, you'll love the "Power toys"

I use NVU and also Kompozer. Both work the same and both are free. They may not have all the bangs and whistles but I like the simple things.
