Where the heck is Johnnie lately? I've missed his eloquence and soft spoken manner around here! hehe ;)

Guess I'll have to shoot him an email.

If he don't turn up, we'll have to send out an Amber alert. :D

I bet he got beat up by the Steebar lady. heh

I think he went in for some surgery. He might be MIA for a week or two.

Karl,
Johnny Growled at me a couple of days ago...Please don't mention that steebar place they still owe me stuff... Growl-grumble[B)][B)]:(

Yeah, that was actually the first place I ever ordered from, having never made a pen in my life. After 3 weeks of waiting, I finally called them, and after several tries, finally got through to somebody who said my order got 'lost in the shuffle'. Sounds like they spend a lot of time shuffling people's money into their account and not enough time shuffling off to the post office.

After that fiasco, (at the time I didn't know it was a fiasco, I just thought that it was really hard to get pen kits...heh) I ordered from PSI, and got the stuff within 5 or 6 days, and the next order came from Woodturningz, which got here in a couple days! I thought I'd hit the jackpot. Then I found the forums, and Ernie(BTW), Bill(AS) and CSUSA. After working with the Berea stuff, I haven't been doing a lot of PSI stuff. I've still got a crapload of PSI type slimlines that I need to build, but I basically save them for when people come over and want to learn how to turn pens.

Okay folks, I am not blowing up anything for a while. I am waiting for them to give me my surgery date, then I will be down for a while, but I have a few laptops so i will share (take out) my pain with you. I am spending most of my time with my brother who just retired after 25 years in the Marine Corps, and retired on active duty while in Iraq. He always said that he would not retire from behind a desk somewhere.
As far as Steebar goes, I have no problem with them at all, but I wouldn't want to be them when a certain someone I know goes and pays them a visit. I will just be along for the ride and to watch his 6. It is nice to be noticed, but that only seems to happen when I am gone....LOL :) I'll be around more soon.

Johnnie, to bad you saw this thread before I did. I was gonna tell them how you went and fed yourself to a bear.:D
