I had some extra time today, so I decided to cast some more pen cores.
This batch is for someone else and I hope they are ready to unwrap tomorrow.
There are several that I would like to keep, but I should have had these finished long ago and delivered.
It takes me a long time to do just a few pen cores since I'm not set up to do any production type casting, but it is well worth the time invested.

I admit it... I'm having way too much fun with this.

Photos to follow.

The temperature went down to 44 last night and it's only 52 now, so I don't think I will be able to unwrap the cores.
I'm betting they are not cured yet, but I will check after lunch.

Different industries call similar things by different names. In this instance, blanks, billets, cores, etc. Just as some call them pen kits and others components.
I just like the sound of pen core vs pen blank. They, for the most part, are not blank. Blank to me relates to plain.

Fair enough....

We make blanks.....

Scott (guess these are plain) B

If you had read my last post....

it states that blanks, for the most part, are not blank.

You just used this opportunity to highjack someone else's thread to interject an advertisement for your product.

Dan ( quite distasteful ) H.
