Allo!
I'm Dan. I've been turning for... uh... 5 years? I think. I'm a biochemist, army vet, woodworker... and a bunch of other things.
I've made... 4 pens. Mostly I turn spindles for people to make yarn from fiber (www.gnomespun.com).
People keep asking if I'll make pens, so... I've started! Though not selling yet.
I'm also an FP nerd and carried one even in the field during my time in the Army.
Constantly looking to improve, trying new things, adding skills... always looking for thinner/smaller pens.

My first FP, which I promptly changed the nib on... (my own blank, "worn" jeans look is deliberate)

Hi Dan; Here in Pennsylvania the State Farm Show near me is a BIG DEAL! There is a "Sheep-to-Shawl" competition where the teams go from raw sheep wool to a finished shawl. The results are judged and then auctioned off. Sometimes the bids go into four figures.

More on Topic, check out the "Resources", "IAP Library" menu item. There is a wealth of information there.

Thank you for your service.🇺🇸
