Howdy folks...I have invaded your area for a few days. (But then again...it was 99 degrees when I left Dallas, maybe I will stay!) Time is limited and I was hoping that you could point me towards a local wood supplier w/ evening hours. I just want to see what is avail and maybe save some shipping costs. It would have to be somewhere within walking distance of the metro.

Nothing metro friendly. Closest is Vienna Hardwoods in Vienna, but they don't have much in terms of turning woods. Other than that, the obligatory Woodcrafts in Rockville and Springfield.

I appreciate both comments. This trip, my time has been very limited and today it got shorter. I make it back about once a year so I will hang onto this info for next time.
