Well apparently the bad indigestion I had friday and saturday wasn't indigestion. Decided saturday afternoon to go into the ER after 6 doses of Heavy Duty Maalox didn't touch the heartburn.
Signed into the ER at 14:22
By 17:00 I was at a different hospital, in recovery from a stent implant. Apparently I had an artery that was fully blocked. Everything went well during the surgery. Luckily for me they were able to do everything from a catheter through my femoral artery. No chest opening for me thankfully.

Got home from the the hospital earlier today.

Sad part is, I'm only 39 years old. Guess who just quit smoking? hehe

Randy, Modern medicine is just great. 2 months ago I had a stent and except being restricted for 10 days lifting nothing over 10lbs. I haven't felt better in months. 20 years ago we both might not be here...live a long and happy life and quiting smoking is the single best thing you can do for yourself.....Funny I quit a while ago and then had this happen.....

I'm very glad that the problem was caught before it got worse. And to everyone who has quit smoking, awesome. I quit my 3 pack a day habit about 18 years ago and it was the hardest thing I ever did. Stay strong, it's worth it.

Glad you went to the hospital. Many times we think we have one problem and it turns out to be something else.

Take care of yourself!

I'm glad that you're okay and that you caught the problem soon enough to prevent any major damage to your heart.

Take it easy and take care of yourself.

Randy, Glad you are ok.

Here in Dallas, there is a morning radio show with quite a bit of comedy. Hal Jay is the star. He was at his lake house when he had a heart attack. When the paramedics arrived, they asked him if he smoked. He said "used to". They said "when did you stop?" He said "about 20 minutes ago!"

Have a great day...week....decade....etc...

Great job Neil. My doc warned me as well. 32 years, smoker, and a big guy. STROKE TIME he says. So I quit smoking 3 weeks ago, with the help of Zyban it's working great. I am getting tired of paying all this money to kill myself slowly anyway. Jesus it costs $150 plus a month to smoke. Now that money is going into pen turning instead. Glad to hear you are good to go now.

Thanks Guys. Definitely glad it wasn't worse. I got real lucky. Just have a sore groin but I've been smoke free since saturday now LOL.

Here's to a speedy recovery. Glad they caught it early enough to avoid something more serious... Take care...

Glad that you quit smoking. Hurrah for you. Don't forget to take a look at your diet and make necessary changes and get some exercise daily, walking is best and 30 minutes/day really helps with keeping you healthy.
