I made the mistake of driving to Indy last Friday and visiting Ryan and the folks at Woodturningz (Fritz was on vacation). When SWCTM finds out how much I spent, I'm dead. [xx(] They have an amazing setup for such a small operation. They have a very impressive wood selection... it's a little smaller now, but still impressive. I shouldn't have to buy any more blanks of any kind for quite some time now. Sorry, Dario and BigRob! [:I] Their selection of Acrylester (PR) is impressive as well and they make it there! They also have a good selection of stabilized and dyed stabilized blanks. They also have some of the nicest exotic bowl blanks and blocks I've seen. I'm still trying to talk Ryan into putting more stuff on his web site... like the Acrylester and some mention of the stabilized and dyed blanks just to name a few.
Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Woodturningz and get no residual of any kind from this post. I'm just a satisfied... and now rather broke... customer. [] I just thought I'd post this as a warning to those considering doing something like I did. You will leave with a load, but your wallet will be a lot lighter so consider yourselves warned.
