Well, here is what happens when trying to hurry while working with metal laminate......Fortunately I just missed the tendon but did a number on the nerves. 13 stitches Lesson: Don't be in a hurry around sharp things.

Jeff, I feel your pain! Hope it doesn't cause you too much discomfort and you heal quickly.

I chopped off the tip of my small finger back in 2007 whilst using a router - I still cant feel the tip properly.

I bet it felt sooooo goooood when they cleaned it at the clinic. NOT!

Well that sucks and what is worse is the down time while it heals. Best thing though is cruzing this site coming up with ideas for your next project!!!

Very fortunate that's all it is. Did near the same thing reaming an exhaust gasket once. Guessed it, caught the bit and spin she did. Only about 5 stitches though. Heal fast!

It's not just sharp things. In my former life as a Paramedic, had a steel working, using a grinder, took his index finger off a the second knuckle, through the leather safety glove and all.

Fortunately, you came out alright on this one, hope you heal up well and fast.

OUCH! Wicked reminder to all of us. Thanks for the eye opener and I hope you heal soon.

ok, I posted the last one of these because of working on a tablesaw without a pushstick, pretty obvious how.

Not so sure about how you managed that working on metal laminate, and what exactly is metal laminate anyway?

Ahh who needs stitches. Rinse that bad boy off, take a shot of whiskey and grab your bottle of CA. Good as new.

I think I will take the 5 needle sticks to the palm versus the burn of CA in an open cut......besides the Doc (female) was pretty cute.
