Here are 3 pieces that I worked on Saturday! The Maple is going to get a Walnut lid with Paduck finial at some point in time.....(you gotta plan ahead)! I didn't get to finish a pen from a small Red Oak burl that I found at a yard sale...I ran out of oil for my lamp, or something like that...Before I assembled it, I discovered that there were some voids in the finish so it is back to the mandrel. I keep thinking that I am progressing past the beginner stage until Saturday at the end of a long day of turning I manage to glue the bushings to the mandrell! lol
I guess I am still amateurish and slow to learn....:cowboy:

Good question...I should have included that info. I don't have them in front of me right now but the Walnut is 3" x 7", the Maple is about the same &
the Cherry is 2" x 9"
 
They all look great, gorgeous woods in great shapes and awesome finish. My favorite is the walnut, the grains look amazing. Great job! Can't wait to see the lids and finials.
