I have about 50 pens I would like to display in my home. Since I am not selling any yet I guess I am a collector. I need to get them out of my wifes scrapbook cabinet. Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

Your best bet is to make, or have something made. I am seeing a cabinet with a glass insert style door with shelves set at an angle. Dado the shelves to make the slots and glue black cloth over it. You could make it real fancy and install a key lock on the front. Maybe a drawer for bottled ink too?? Geesh, I might just have to design one for myself. It seem's like my "deal" will be turning mostly over the warm 3 seasons and selling at a Christmas show with one store and fill in sales here and there. It would be nice to have something like this that I could work on "filling" for the Christmas show. [:D]

Here's one I made when a friend asked me to display in her bank. If you want to hang it on the wall you could make it narrower and put a wood back on it. Let me know if you want more detail.

Bruce's cabinet looks fine. Just be cautious about what kind of wood and finish you use where the pens rest. I made display stands from aromatic red cedar. After only 24 hours the finish was damaged on all of them from contact with the cedar. You might want to consider lining the rests with felt.
