No, this is not political!!!

With NASA's last shuttle missions on the books (STS133 and STS134..STS135 faces budget hurdles), this is about a fun couple of ways to particulate in these last few historic missions... (click on the title to follow the link)

SPACE ROCK!!

If you are musically inclined, you can compose a wake up call that will be played by NASA to the astronauts of STS134. Or if you suck at music (like me), you can also pick from the top 40 list and vote for the songs to be played on STS133 (Scheduled to launch in just a few months).

(Shameless plug - I did vote for the Trek theme!!:biggrin: )

FACE IN SPACE

And if you have kids or grand kids, or just want this for yourself..Check out this other NASA program. You can submit a photo to be flown on board one of the last two scheduled shuttle missions. Later, get a commemorative certificate signed by the Mission Commander.

Now how cool is THAT for the kids??:biggrin:

I love the space program. It's one of the few things I don't mind paying for. I'm sure going to miss it, especially the shuttles. I know it's not totally going away, but might as well be. I always dreamed of seeing a shuttle launch, and unfortunately, I don't think that I'm going to make it. :frown:

I was thinking Space Odyssey but then again, Hal (programmed by the lowest bidder) may malfunction

Honestly, I cant think of a better "last wake up call" for STS135 than" What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

I got to see one launch, I was thrilled, then two weeks later I was heart broken and very sick when Colombia disintegrated on landing, I actually broke down and cried.

Geeze I hope not...not if we refuse to let it anyway. Besides, if it did then Jeff Brown would be forced to sit and read our silly posts all day!:eek::biggrin:

What a beautiful selection James! Actually, neither can I.:)
