Hi all,
I have a vintage Delta 24" scroll saw that was made in Milwaukee. The saw works well. It is variable speed, which is achieved by cranking the small handle beneath the table clockwise to go faster, or counter-clockwise to go slower. (No belt changes needed to change speed)
There is no model number on the saw, but I believe it is a model 1200 (very similar to the later model 40-440). According to the serial number, and the plate it is stamped on, this saw dates to somewhere between 1939-1941. (Definitely before Delta was bought by Rockwell in 1945). The saw comes with a General Electric motor (I don't believe it is original to the saw)
I bought this saw several years ago from an old-time woodworker - before I bought it, it sat unused for years. I bought a stand and mobile base for it, added a magnetic base lamp, a paddle switch, and changed the gear oil. I intended to use it, but I just do not get the time, and I need the room in my shop.
When I got the saw, I added a stand ($50), an On/Off paddle switch ($30) a mobile base ($50), and a magnetic light ($30) for a total of $160 addons.
I am asking $300 for everything. I will consider reasonable offers.
I can't ship something like this, so it needs to be local pickup only. The saw is very solid and very heavy (around 100 pounds), so please bring someone to help you load it into your car or truck.
