This took me back many years, to a time when I lived in the middel east and would see such craftspeople when I visited the local bazzars. It's amazing what people can do with the least amount of tools and electricity relying only on their skills! And it's equally amazing what some can't do with a $3k lathe and $5k worth of accessories and the finest tools available, yet still consider themselves craftsmen!

No doubt there is a six year old nearby who is learning the craft... who himself can probably put us all to shame!

I could only dream to be so talented!

Could you imagine what this gentleman could do with an old Carba-Tec and a handful of chisels of various kinds? His craftsmanship is amazing, but what struck me is the pride he takes in his work in the last frame. Humble yet proud of his work.

It just goes to show that you don't have to have the newest, most extravagant, priciest tools around to do some great work. Another example of outstanding work being done with bare minimum.

I'd love to have one of those for craft fairs. No need for electricity / plexiglass shields, and it is sure to attract a lot of attention.

I'm sure it takes a lot of practice to get the technique down, though.
