Heya folks!!!

I have a question, and hopefully someone has an answer for me.
I have a customer interested in the Victorian Fountain Pen by PSI. He has some concerns about using a fountain pen, so we decided he may be better off using a roller ball instead.

But, I can not find the rollerball style anywhere, except already made!
Is the rollerball style still available and, if not, is there a conversion sold separately?

Any and all help is appreciated!

David @ Alchemist Woodwork

This is the pen kit:

Not Rollerball, but I have two kits (no blanks... I believe they are 3/8", you can get rods and easily cut them to size) : Victorian Twist Gun Metal and Antique Pewter. Both are Parker style. I also have a set of bushings. Free for shipping.

I woudl ask Ed of Exotics about the avaialibility of a conversion section or send an email to PSI.

Thanks Mark, but this is not the twist version. It's the capped fountain pen that used to, or has a rollerball conversion.

Tossed one of the fountain pens in my resupply today. If your customer can hold off a bit I can see if any of my other kits on hand match on the nib assembly.

Tony,
I have reached out and am waiting for them to get back to me. I feel this may have a conversion piece, because I see them online as a finished product with the possibility for a RB instead of fountain section. Unless, of course, these sellers have an abundant supply of this kit 🤷🏻😂

We will see!

Oh that would be great! They aren't in a hurry. I had already let them know that it may be an issue with finding it as a rollerball after a quick search on the internet.
They also said that if I needed to find something that may be a good substitute than just reach out to him.
So, he has given me some time.
Thanks!

Allrighty. Victorian FP came in today.
Surprisingly the nib for the Victorian twist did not work. Neither did any JR kits.

PSI's Southwest worked, but that may not be helpful as it seems like they are killing that one off also. There are likely other PSI kits that would also work - I just don't have any on hand that did. Wouldn't hurt to drop 'em an email.

Also Woodturningz fountain pen conversion (pkfpc-abr) worked, so any of their kits that can use that nib will work. According to their website, this nib works for a " Voyager, Commander, Scuba, Pirate, Golfer, Owl, Cobra, Sealife, Sea Turtle, Elephant, Scorpion, Shuttle, Chess, Train and Amazing Grace"

I don't think anything will. Dawn told me that what folks are selling is old stock and that the pens are officially discontinued. So, even the fountain pens will be gone. Stinks but that's how it goes I guess!

Thank you for getting back to me!!!

no prob. Maybe you can sell your customer a rollerball with "bonus" fountain nib as a one-off.
For the one I've got I'll probably sacrifice a Woodturningz kit like I mentioned. Kind of a waste of a kit but I've learned that having spare parts around never hurts.

Here's a not very good pic of it laid out.
