I mentor some high school students in my home shop (local school doesn't have one). One young man wanted to know where to acquire blanks. Told him they were everywhere. To prove a point, we took some scraps, glue and veneer. Here is what he ended up with.

That is just incredible. I love taking my old scraps and making pens out of them. Mine don't come out that nice though but the different colors mixed together are just awesome. Great pen.
