Thanks for the nice responses. It wasn't really difficult to make the blank, just took time. First the choosing the woods for the blank and glueing them up and waiting for the glue to cure. Second cutting the slices and glueing them all back together with the twist. The rest was just treating it like any other pen blank. I used a friction polish for the finish. Give it a try, you will be surprised at the results.

That looks great. I love the segmentation. I wish I had the patience to do that kind of segmentation.
