Hi all,

I am going to be vacationing in July in Vermont for a few days. In the Lake Champlain area near Burlington.

I am looking to bring home a few board feet of Genuine Vermont Maple to build a flag display case for the flag that was presented to my wife when her father passed away two years ago.

Perhaps something quilted or with some other interesting figure. The important thing is that it be Genuine Vermont Maple.

Any ideas?

You can get genuine Vermont Maple at just about any real lumber yard in New Engalnd. They carry all types including birdseye and curly, I haven't seen too much in the way of quilted though. There is a large amount of maple burl in Vermont also.

Thank you for the suggestions. And yes, we will bring home some real Vermont maple syrup.

I live about 30 miles south of Burlington in Bristol where is a mill you can get the best maple there is. And I have a friend that is a sugarmaker to get your maple syrup from at a better price. You have all your places to go planed out?

Thank you to all who shared their ideas.

Jim, I sent you a pm. When the plans come together more solidly I'll call and try to get over to see you.
