Ok I have been reading all I can find but still have questions about coloring when I stabilize. Do I use dye or do I use mica powder? I have ordered the pen turners vacuum pot from Curtis and would like to know what is the best way to get started with coloring. Maybe some starting points. Do I need dye or mica powder? Do I need both? Do they have different purposes?

Use dye for stabilizing and either/ both for casting. Mica powder will add the "iridescent" swirls to the resin when casting but will not be "sucked" into the blank when stabilized.

Yup...be cautious when using dye in PR though. To much can sometimes cause the PR to not setup and cure correctly. Curtis has dye on his site for use with Juice.
