Vacuum Pump

Someone posted a link a while back to www.surpluscenter.com for some inexpensive vacuum pumps.

I couldn't find the post again, but was curious what the catch was with these pumps. Do they work for stabalizing, and have you had any trouble with yours?

I bought one 2 years ago and have been very pleased. The pump is wired for 220.

Can anyone tell me the difference between a 2 CFM and a 4 CFM vaccume pump? Both will pul the same vacuum, just a little slower?

CFM (cubic feet per minute). You are correct the 2CFM will pull a vacuum slower but depending on other specs will probably pull the same amount of vacuum, just different volumes. For stabilizing purposes both will work.

There is no catch. It is a good pump for a good plice.
