Hey everyone,
I just wanted to give you a heads up that
I'll be off the board, on vacation, starting the evening of 6/12/10
and will be back about 6/20/10. If you don't get a reply, this is why.

I'll also be putting Penturners Products in "showcase" mode (or something like that; look but no order) so I won't have orders piled up when I get back, and unhappy people. no computer where I'm going.
I'll reopen the store as soon as I'm back in home!

Thanks,
John

Does your garage have windows? WE know you won't be home and we can "take" things um take care of things for you.

Enjoy your time.

I saw that garage window thing.. you sly dog!
Shoot, just leave the money on the lathe bench..
Ah, I have older retired neighbors on both sides and they don't miss a thing.
I think one older lady would come chew a burglar out, nice lady but no nonsense about her!!
and if you got in, you'd probably trip and hurt yourself..
I have a "little path" as my wife describes it. LOL!!

Have a great vacation!

I just drove through Columbus to and from my family reunion in Nashville (it was Sun-Tues) at Brown County State Park. Your town was nice, but the park was FABULOUS!

Thanks Chris!
Brown County State Park is indeed nice. We go there once in a while,
you should check it out in the fall when leaves are turning colors; quite a show!

Thanks, to all who wished us well on our journey.

We made it back last night, had a really great time.
The Smoky Mountains in Tennessee/ North Carolina are really nice this time of year, lots of wonderful hospitality and we met a lot of great folks here and there.
Now trying to catch up on those everyday things at the ranch that we let go while we were gone.

As a side note to anyone who may be in the same mindset I had been in for the last 20 years, thinking you are too busy with other things, can't quite afford it, etc.
that you can't quite justify going on a family vacation.. I'll say I was wrong in my thinking. I should have done this years ago.

Johnny

Welcome home John. I'm glad you had a safe, enjoyable trip!!

Thanks Mike, we had a blast! And yes, a safe trip is a plus.

We got stopped in traffic for over a half hour on I65 about 10 miles away from home on our return, there was a wreck that looked like nobody lived,
we saw the unrecognizable cars as we finally got to moving.
Our paper today described it as "vicious". A family had been driving 18 hours straight out of Florida, crossed the median and hit another head on..
We didn't know what was going on, until we moved along after the wait, our complaining at the wait turned to sorrow for those involved once we saw what went on.
I am indeed thankful for my familys safety.

Did you roadtrip? I drove from SoCal to NC 20 years ago and loved the Smokies.

Well, it was a trip for us, as we don't travel much. But roadtrip, no.
About 6 hours drive, and we pretty much just made the smokies our destination for the week. A good time was had by all; we loved the Smokies, too!

John, at least the weather was nice, we were in the Smokies as well, saw the caves at Cade forbidden caverns, saw a pair of black bear cubs climbing a tree, but the Rangers had trouble keeping people away from them.

Johnny, you lucky doug. My wife is form NC have been married to her for 27 years ( and, we never had afight:wink::biggrin::tongue:), she keep teeling me about the beauty of the smoky mountains but haven't been alb eto amake it out there yet. but, One of these days I think I have to join the rank and hit the road I guess. BTW, youdidn't get to samell smoky, huh?:wink::biggrin::tongue:
I am glad you enjoyed it. We had something like that accident not even less than a mile away form my house, and i don't just get how people can get into such bad accidents in middle of the dry sunny day. soemhow the guy was in the middle of the street on the ground, but the car was samshed to a card board. I guess it's a blessing not to be in one of those accidents. Amen!
