vacation finally!

This Dec, after 8 1/2 years of college tuition for 2 boys my youngest will graduate!!!
we have not gone on a vacation for 10 years because of tuition.
Anyway in Dec. my husband is going on a business trip to Denmark! I plan on meeting him after the work week and we are going to take the train down through Europe!!!
Nothing fancy, but does anyone have any good places to see in Denmark,Germany,France, Belgium and England? England and France are easy. My grandparents came over through Ellis Island from Belgium. The meeting is in Copenhagen
but from what I read it is a resort city and in the fall (we are going in Oct) it is deserted. That is probably why his company picked it.
If anyone has any ideas or is from that area fill me in on what is what.

Wow, that could be a wonderful trip!!!!. Are you going in Oct or December? We do most of our re-training courses in December as it's our quietest period but of course it's winter. :eek: Don't forget the winter woolies!!!:wink:
Can you stretch your trip to include Switzerland? Really beautiful in the winter. Dusseldorf in Germany is also fantastic that time of the year.

We will be traveling in Oct. I think I will start writing down all the places we would like to see. We have a friend that is a travel agent. I will have her link places together with the trains.
I love the cool weather. anything over 75 F is too hot for me!

Well Alice, as it's in October, you realize that you absolutely HAVE to include Germany??!!!:biggrin: Get your travel agent friend to check the dates of the special events held during Oktoberfest. I hope you and hubby like beer!!!:)
Let us know if and when you are in the UK. But besides Scotland, I think you would enjoy mainland Europe better.
