I think the proof that I've truly caught the bug is the fact that I'm interested in getting into casting and stabilizing.
With what I've read, I'm reluctant, although tempted, to buy the Harbor Freight pressure pot. I'm thinking that a better quality used brand is more reliable and/or safe than a new HF device. I searched for the better known brands and these pots from the company below seem to be in the best shape for the best price. I'd have peace of mind with this brand name, but this is the limit of what I'd spend on a pot.
It's confusing for the beginner though. I'm interested in the higher working PSI for worthless wood casting, but since I've never done it, I'm not sure if the HF pot won't work for worthless wood at 45 PSI. And in terms of safety, why can't I just put an HF pot under a workbench and put a plywood door with latch over the front of it for safety? Or run an air hose away from the pot and install a valve at the far end like Zac HIggins has suggested?

Anyway, any thoughts on the pot(s) available from this e-bay company? http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEVILBISS-PT-SERIES-2-GALLON-STEEL-PRESSURE-VESSEL-0-100-PSI-GAUGE-APOLLO-VALVE/352055886788?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41376%26meid%3D2eae78114dd145ffbc546556dd89dadc%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D282474995333&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

What is missing with this purchase that I would have to buy?

Thanks.
Jake

Well now that you've listed the item in the open it might get gone ;) Good price on one of those. You certainly won't have to worry about it coming apart on ya!

If you don't got the used route, I'd get a new Grizzly or TCP pot over the Harbor Freight pot ANY day.
