A couple of my IAP friends have PM'd me asking how things were going with my left hand/thumb after the two recent surgeries. I apologize for being remiss in updaing, but will correct that now. It appears the latest surgery was a success!! The Dr. is pleased with the last set of X-rays, and has removed the two (2) pins that have bben there for 3+ weeks. I will always have the three Titanium screws thru the knuckles ( I wonder if I will be setting of metal detectors) and the small plate added to hold things together. The knuckles are permanently fused, and the thunb is over 1/2" shorter, BUT I STILL HAVE IT! :D The Dr is happy with the BOW Cigar I gave him (after the good news of course), but I will have some sort of cast for another 4-5 weeks, then PT to get used to a stiff thumb (here's your chance, Cav, Ed, or Doc). So I am pleased. Thanks to all of you for caring!

Hang in there Rob. Glad you're doing better. Don't let scar tissue build up in there. You'll just be doing some things a little diff. now. Shouldn't set off any metal detectors. Rods & bolts in the back don't do it.

Hello My Friend

Rob that is fantastic :D:D:D You will not set off metel detectors. I have 28 Titanium screws and 6 Titanium plates in my spine and have gone through many detectors and never set one off. Titanium can be set to not read on thouse things. Anyway get better and get back on the road so I can load up that bike with wood. Take care and my prayers are with you and yours.

Thanks Rod
