As some of you will remember I posted in January that one of my younger sister's had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and give a year to live. Thank you for all the prayers and blessings.

I have just returned from 2 1/2 months in the UK and I am sad to say that my sister lost her very short battle with cancer. She died on March 27th. After being given a year she died several weeks later. I am so glad I went straight away and so glad that we all had a chance to be with her and say our good byes.

Ruth, You are in my prayers. I loss my only sister to stomack cancer also. Her battle only lasted one week. It`s good that you were able to be with her for a while.

I am so glad you got to spend some time with your sister. I believe you will always cherish that memory.

Thank you for the link to the Manchester paper. The love her police officer community had for her shown through the printed words.

My thoughts are with you in this most difficult time.

I am lifting you in prayer and never forgot the request for prayer for your sister and your family from back in January. I am glad that you were able to be there with her.

Thanks for the update Ruth, but so sorry for your family. I'm glad you made that trip as soon as you did, it sure didn't sound good when you told us in Jan. Two weeks from yesterday will be the one year anniversary of my younger brother loosing his battle with colon cancer. He has been in my thoughts for a solid month. This "thing" of life sure is fragile. Sigh

I'm very sorry for your loss, Ruth, but I'm very glad you were able to spend some quality time with her before she passed on.

Judging from the newspaper article, she certainly appears to have been a remarkable woman!
