Many will remember me saying that I almost lost my Boxer a few weeks ago and since we just got back from her latest checkup I guess an update is in order. Mocha seems to be doing better but we did h`1ave a scare on Wednesday when she stopped eating and started acting lethargic.

Two weeks ago we took her in for a checkup and blood test and it was found that her pancreatic (sp?) enzymes were elevated and the doctor put her on antibiotics again for another week. Well today we found that her pancreatic enzymes were very high again. Were going to try a couple different medications to see if we can knock it out and if they don't do it, we'll have an ultrasound and a biopsy of some pancreatic tissue to see if she might have cancer. I'm hoping that it is not cancer because if it is there is no choice but to "send her over the rainbow bridge" and that will be tough. Unfortunately her breed (boxer) has one of the highest rates of cancer and tumors of all dog breeds.

That's about it. Nothing I can do but hope, pray, wait & worry.

Anyone with a love of dogs will know what you are going through, good luck. (Two Yorkies one with kidney failure.)
