I'm toying with the idea of getting set up to try and stabilize some wood pieces that I have had laying around for some time. I watched with interest when ultraseal was intrduced here and some members tried it out and there was a representative from ultraseal posting it for sale in the classifieds.

I found a post where he said he is no longer with ultraseal and the ultraseal website is less than informative and appears not to have been updated since July.

Is ultraseal still a viable product for home-use stabilizing? Is it still available for purchase? Can anyone tell me how much it costs?

Thanks!

In case anyone else was wondering, I did email Theresa Lamb at Ultraseal and got the following reply:

We sell the wood stabiliser in 3 different sizes:

Quart: $35.00
Gallon: $99.00
6.6 Gallon: $450.00

It usually takes 1 to 2 days to be shipped out. We use UPS GROUND for shipping.

I just got a quart to try it recently and it was shipped very fast! I was impressed with the easiness it all worked in my setup. I bought a roaster oven to heat it, and I'm glad I did, it will smoke as it heats, and smells a bit rough. Also left a residue on the lid, so I'm really glad I didn't use the house oven, my girl would have killed me for sure! I will be doing it outside from now on.
