I saw a huge improvement with this batch. I stabilized several woods and all look like they did well. Woods were kentucky coffee bean, qrtswn sycamore, marblewood, persian lilac, zebrawood, water oak and a spalted wood that might be hackberry. It did darken the wood but no too much. The spalted wood, marble wood and zebrawood seems to have the most absorption, but they are pretty porous. The only problem I had with this batch was the blanks were fused together when they were boiled in the vacuum bags. After a couple days of rest, I was able to get them separated with a couple blows on a chisel on the seams. I have now cut into 5 of them and drilled them for pens. While I was drilling I did notice the citrus scent was present during the whole drilling process, so I think there is good absorption throughout the blanks.

Here are pictures of my testing.

Here are some pictures of some pens from the blanks that were stabilized with batch#2.

If you look at this picture, you can see what the wood looked like before stabilization, and that some of the woods did darken. Zebrawood darkened the most.
