This was a fun commission I recently completed. The buyer basically just told me they wanted a pen made from Ultem, a fancy industrial plastic, with silver trim, and gave some rough dimensions as well as free reign to go nuts. The Ultem pens currently available are lean towards the more industrial/minimalist aesthetic, so I thought it would be fun to make one that was "fancy." This is about 5.5" long capped, and uses 12.5x3mm triple start threads. I cast the clip body and large cap band, and Made the rest of the bands from silver wire. The nib is a jowo #6. This was a fun project.

The commissioner should be well happy with that.
I haven't heard of Ultem before, I will have to look it up.
It's pretty tough and very heat resistant. It's not an especially interesting material or particularly advantageous for pen making, but people like it and are willing to pay the big bucks .

Another beautiful pen! (I wish I could expand/zoom in on the images, there appears to be a lot of detail in there.)
