What weather for the first week of January-------this afternoon we hit 70 dgrees and yesterday it was 69. Heck I spent the afternoon cooking up some BBQ chicken-- sitting out on the front proch just a swingin and yacking on the phone with a friend.
Life is good
Now if it would just still like this for 8 more weeks and then get nice.

I was grilling brats yesterday afternoon. It was near 50 degrees. I live in WI. I should be out ice fishing in 20 degree weather and freezing my butt off. The ice is melting!!!!

With heating oil at $3.50 a gallon, can we avoid talking about ICE, please. Thank-you, mother nature!!! I don't have Al Gore's money, I'll take any break warming (global or otherwise) wants to give me!!!

7 more weeks til we can kind of rely on being above zero!!!

It is raining like crazy here right now. Can't even see across the street.[:0][:0]

I agree, here in West Michigan it is 58 right now... No grilling for me....With the snow melted Golden Retriever and Weimaraner mines appeared....

Also a pain to try to contribute to the forum this afternoon with all the tornado alarms going off - 2 blocks from the office!

NO tornados visible - just lots of noise.

JANUARY ------- tornadoes??????????????????????????

It was 70 here today, supposed to be 73 tomorrow. Wish I could be on the golf course. As for that "can't see across the street" rain.....PLEASE send it to us. Some areas around here are 20"+ below normal. The lakes in the Piedmont look like ditches running through fields.

Send some of that heat this way. Currently 6" of new snow here on top of the 4ft of it in my yard already and it is still snowing.

Definately could use some of that heat instead of this cold then my back muscles would have a chance to relax and recover from my back surgery.

If this keeps up by next week I will have the boat out---
get a head start on spring fishing---------no wait it's still the first week of Jan. I must be going nuts.

Almost 80 here yesterday, but before you all get angry - I just left Michigan a few days ago, and it was 6 degrees with 8 inches of snow on the ground when I left. So I have experienced my winter weather :D

According to the tracking on our news, there was at least 2 really close to you Ed.

We didn't get that, but the thunderstorms up here were enough. Weird having them on tv telling us tips to be sure our sump pump is actually emptying just incase the line is frozen.

I'll trade you some heat for some snow. At least it would melt and make some water ;)
Hope your back heals quick
