Two “repurposed” Bolts

I had several camo bolts that have sat for a couple of years. These are the reincarnated bolts: Starry Starry Night (blue box elder burl) and spalted tamarind. Both are as glossy as can be, but the spalted did not show it.

The Starry Starry Night name came to me the other day. As soon as I put it on shave sets and razors it took off. Cool names just might make the difference with certain buyers. Try it!

It's funny you mention this. Last year when I was first getting into Dying/Stabilizing blanks, my first couple of batches of blanks were not so good, but when I turned a couple pens with the blue-dyed resin, I ended up with what I called my "Starry Night" blanks, as they reminded me of Van Gogh's painting. Here's a couple pics. The pens have not sold, but I like them anyway 😁
