turning razor sharp walls

I was turning a goblet today out of madrone burl. this is the first one i didn't screw up, mainly because of switching from chucking it to using a faceplate. i turned the walls of the goblet so thin that as i was sanding my knuckles hit the edge of the wall and it was cutting me! my fingers hurt some now[B)]

Oh man, Andrew. I feel your pain. About two weeks ago I was sanding a box that I had turned and the exact same thing happened to me. I ended up slicing my finger.
