I have been a woodworker and cabinet maker for years. Mom's brother gave me a 1940 Dunlap lathe. With a 4 step pully drive. I used mainly for a disk sander. We I figured out you can turn things. I have a Woodcraft about 30 miles away, and a Rockler about 50 miles. So I purchased the required pen stuff.

I have made 7 so far, and if I say so myself They Look Great! Can't wait til I am actually good at this!

So hello from Portage Lake Michigan, just outside Ann Arbor. I don't want to ice fish, so im going to keep turning till spring.

Welcome from Texas! I can relate - woodworker all my life, never turned a thing until I discovered pens 2 years ago.

IAP Rule: if you are going to talk about your pens, you have to show pictures or it didn't happen
