Alot of talk has been going here lately and over the years about certain aspects of pen making. Such as tools to use (carbide VS HSS), Pen presses to use, turn between centers bushings, and of course mandrels. Well I will tell you and anyone who is just starting or thinking about shifting your method of doing this such as turning all pens between centers or different finishes or polishing, you name it, there is a vendor that has started out here as a member and has gone on to become a big time player in the pen turning world. He has seen it done it and now sells it. He knows what he is talking about from experience. Maybe you do not agree with all aspects of his approach or whatever but have to admit he is in my book one vendor that you need to check out for all tools and materials used in pen making and all types of pen making. This is Chad Schimmel over at Turner's Warehouse. As I said I believe he is the most complete vendor to cover and carry all products along with many videos showing how to use tools and how to do certain aspects of pen making. I was looking around the other day and did not realize he carries what he calls turn between centers adapters where you can use the standard bushings but has that 60 degree adapter for TBC. I have bought from him many times and his delivery is always prompt and any problems always solved easily and quickly. Very good customer service. I think maybe he gets overlooked here because of a few vendors that talked about all the time which is fine but I highly recommend you take a glance before you purchase. Worth the little extra time to check things out.

Now this is basically a plug for his site but also a info post in case you are a new member and do not know of him.

Turners Warehouse also has a lot of kitless type supplies, the customer service is very good and like @jttheclockman said very fast. Chad is also very active on Instagram, and I love that he seems to get very supportive of youth turning, knife making etc. Also, you might want to take a peek at the St. Jude's benefit he has annually. The cut off this year is Nov. 15. You can send in a Holiday themed turning (pens too) to be auctioned off and proceeds go to St.Judes. And level of turner can participate, folks make ornaments, and this year pens are allowed as an entry. There is information on his website, there's a form to fill out to participate.
