I am personally a fan of TSW (Trade Secret for Wood). I just ran out and am looking to purchase a new supply. I have had my eyes on the Arizona Silhouette site for quite some time and they have been sold out for months. Does anyone know where I can purchase some?

Kevin, look on the label of the can you have and see if they list the website of the manufacturer. Post that here and maybe we can approach them and they might tell us of other vendors they sell to. Of course you need to do this AFTER you sell your 'extra' can... [:D]

You won't find any web site for TSW, it was developed by one of our members and as far as I know was sold only by him and BB.

Follow the bloody details at http://www.penturners.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19012&whichpage=1&SearchTerms=tsw

And go further into the archives for the full saga.

I've got a dumb question...... If you visit the arizona silhouette website, on the same page with the TSW ad is an ad for Renaissance Wax, which is said to be the best wax arizona silhouette carries.

If Renaissance Wax is said to be the best, and it is good stuff, why the clamor over TSW, especially since it's availability always seems so iffy? Are there two best waxes?[:)]

Perhaps this is more like the "some like Chev and some like Ford" comparison. Both work and some like one better than another. Carnuba wax on a buff is pretty good too. You get to make up your own mind.

I strongly suggest that you read through the archives. This is a sensitive subject with hurtful implications for certain highly respected members of IAP. If you're looking for TSW .... I'd put a WTB ad in the classifieds. I've got a stash tucked away in my shop, but they won't be sold. [:)]

I don't like Ren Wax for two reasons: I don't like the smell and it feels oily to me. I am a fan of TSW and use it on every pen. It fill in the small sanding scratches and has a build up quality... I use two or three coats and the pens buff to a really nice shine. Several who have tried it say they can't tell any difference after using it, but I sure can and I will continue to use it and I'm pleased that is is again available.
Do a good turn daily!

Thanks for all the replies… I am very aware of the controversies, debate and ill will that have been caused by discussions on the origins and value of TSW. I have/had no intention on re-opening this wound; I simply want to find out where to get some since my supply ran out.

Kevin thanks for your offer to sell me an extra you have lying around your shop. If it’s truly an extra I’ll take it, if you are using it on your work I’ll pass. I’ll give you a call this weekend.

Again if anyone knows a vendor who has current inventory of this product I know there are others who would appreciate your posting the information here.
