I haven't bought any in a while, but aren't those 'sale prices' about what we
normally pay for them anyway?

Their sale price is $8.99. Exotic Blanks has them regularly for $9.40.

To be fair....
Exotic Blanks charges $9.40 for a 3/4x3/4 blank.

The ones on sale at Craft Supply are 7/8x7/8.

For comparison purposes,
R&B Crafts has 3/4 square at $9.38 and 7/8 square at $11.25 for selected items.

:biggrin:For 7/8" blanks, the CSUSA prices are a GREAT deal. They have a limited selection of colors, but BUY them---you can't beat that price.

(Don't buy anything else, though, we still want your business!!!:biggrin::biggrin:)

(BTW, they are bigger than we are, I assume they negotiated a special deal based on a larger volume than we can handle--cash commitment-wise-- that's life!!)

Since comparisons are being made, just my two cents.........

If it were me, I would rather pay the extra few pennies and buy from R&B Crafts or Exotics than spend the time behind the lathe turning away the EXTRA material just to get a pen blank down to size.

Thanks, George!!! But there is a place for each. The 7/8" allows you to make the bigger pens without sweating quite as much while you drill the holes. I have "blown up" more than a couple "Gentlemen" blanks while drilling 3/4" trustone.

Yes, I readily admit my drill bit sharpening techniques could use a little "sharpening up" so to speak!!!

Yes, in the 3/4" size we are all about the same price, I believe.

I would rather pay the teeny tiny bit extra and support Exoticblanks.
