I work at the Orange Box, a customer called asking about the life time warranty on Rigid table saw blades. Yes they do have one, I asked what was wrong with it..............he said, "Its dull"........go figure. Wonder if that is covered under the warranty???????????

I worked for a short time in retail as a second job when the kids were younger. I worked in the hunting and fishing section of Sports Authority who had an absolutely absurd return policy. I saw people bring back fishing reels that were beaten to death with handles missing etc. (obviously garage sale stuff) saying it doesn't work anymore and get a new reel. One guy returned an electric trolling motor complete with weeds still hanging from the prop saying it wasn't powerful enough for his boat; full refund. The guy who topped them all brought in ONE worn out boot with the tread almost gone. He said that he didn't have the other boot but that this one leaked so he wanted a new pair of boots. You got it, he walked out with a new pair of boots. People like this have no problem lying or asking for stuff that they know they don't deserve, but since the have no honor or self respect it doesn't seem to bother them.

Sure they have a life time warranty against getting dull - if they are not used.

I bet that clause is in the real fine print of the warranty ... kind of like the disclaimers shown on TV that last about two seconds. You would be really shocked to freeze those frames and read (IF clear enough) many of them. Buyer Beware indeed!

I worked in the sporting goods department of Wal-Mart during college and we used to get people trying to return amunition (against FEDERAL law after 24hrs). Of course, "The Customer is Always Right" so they would argue as though we were trying to take their children away. We also used to see Rich's stickers every once in a while and a few things from Sears. What?! This one kid brought back a set of golf clubs that looked as though they had been used to hit rocks. They were beat to crap! And they still took them back. The worst, someone brought back a bike that was mangled with a tire missing and complained because the brakes didn't work.
