Hi all,

I'm leaving today from Bloomington, IL to travel by car west through Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, and up to Ontario, Oregon. I'll eventually be in Bend, OR where I will visit my wife's brother-in-law and sister, spend three days at Sunriver with them - might even go skiing (first time in 15 years ), then it is up to Portland, OR. Will fish a bit on the Columbia with my dad, visit my two brothers and their family and......oh........I almost forgot..........the purpose of the trip ........to give a clinic at Portland State University in the design and accoustical properties of clarinet and bass clarinet moutphieces (!). That's about a 3 hour commitment, but they are payings......so......

I'll have a laptop with me. Have no idea where I'll end up each night - usually look for a place that has a larger population before I stop driving!
Maye I'll run into one of you crazy, obsessed turners along the way - dinner plans?

Should be an adventure. Brought my clubs with me too - might try to take a day on the way out and play 9 or 18.

Best,
Roger Garrett

Dang it Landon! You're 131 miles north of I80 (cut off at Sidney)- about a four hour deviaton before all is said and done. :frown: We'll have to connect another time. That will give you some time to learn golf.......

Thanks for responding!

No problem, you do realize 130 miles to us is just a drive across town to the neibors around here. Have a good trip on that BORING ole interstate. I tried golf, pretty much turned out like my first pen..............Not so good. :frown:

have a safe trip. and let us know if you wander into NORTHERN CA. If you stay on I-80 before heading to OR, your about an hour away.

Hi Everyone - thanks for the good wishes.

I went skiing yesterday at Mt. Bachelor, OR. I'm still alive. It's been 14 years since I last skied - did well I thought.

Today in PDX. Will hope to fish on Wednesday - but don't know if my dad will be able to. He fell and sprained his ankle (again) - uses a cane.

Will golf mid-week in PDX, hope to get to the coast and visit the brother in law who shoots in the 80s. Will travel to Lincoln City to golf - I think that's where we are going. I'm gonna get slaughtered by Doug - he used to golf in the 70s (not the 1970s - but only single digits above par).
