Hi All,
Had to make a run up to Vegas today to have the wife's wedding ring inspected and serviced. Decided to look up a couple of hobby shops since I have gotten into casting lately. First we found a place called Joe-Anna's. Not bad. Real big, clean, lots to look at and lots for my wife. Not much for me, no casting supplies to speak of. So we looked up a Michaels. There are several in Vegas and the first one we found was "one of the smaller ones". They had lots for the wife. As for casting supplies, not much at all. And the few Casten'Crafts supplies they had were quite disappointing. They had PR in the pint and quart sizes, a three pack of color ($9.95), mold release, some mold fabricating supplies and thats about it. No molds, no powders, no pearl. So we thought, maybe the larger store will have more (the clerks didn't know), so we drove to a larger store and they had the same selection, exactly the same. Is this what all Michaels are like?
So the wife came home with a few new outfits and several craft projects for the winter. I came home with a jar of glitter and an empty wallet.
At least we had a nice day together and had a nice lunch.

Lot's of Micheal's and Joanns around here Steve, and they are about what you described, not as much of a market for PR casting like in the 70's. I get my stuff on line mostly.
